Braeside  is a three-bedroomed self-catering holiday cottage on the remote and beautiful Isle of Jura in the Scottish Hebrides. The house accommodates five people. It is situated between the sea and the hills above the small village of Craighouse, the ‘capital’  of  Jura, just across the Sound of Islay from the Isle of Islay.

With clear sea views towards the east and hill views facing west, Braeside is the perfect holiday retreat for all those who enjoy ‘getting away from it all’ and who enjoy stunning remote landscapes with the constantly changing visual drama of the sea.

Set in a mature, private garden, it is quiet and secluded with superb views, yet only fifty yards from the island’s main amenities – the shop, post office, hotel (with public and lounge bars and restaurant).

Jura is remote and ‘off the beaten track’ making life on the island extremely relaxing and stress free – the perfect antidote to city life – yet transport links, by ferry or plane via Islay, are very good.

There is also a summer passenger ferry from Tayvallich which arrives at the old stone pier just a few yards from the house.

Why not try a week on Islay at An Cala, our delightful self catering cottage in the conservation village of Port Charlotte.
